Mike Stevenson

Biography

Piano/keyboard player Mike Stevenson's chance recording studio meeting with Scott "Professor Piano" Cushie (Aerosmith, Rockin' Deltoids) changed everything.

Becoming fast friends, Scott taught Mike how to play blues, boogie and New Orleans jazz as well as how to be a pro musician on and off stage. Mike twice toured Europe's small venues developing his repertoire and gaining valuable experience.

Upon his return, he joined Judy Johnson's Thinline R&B revue and then formed Clarksdale with Sam Carothers (The Alman Brothers, Ronnie Hawkins) and Rob Quail (The Jeff Healey Band). Reviewing Clarksdale, T.O. Nite's John Grant wrote "Mike Stevenson's devastating barrelhouse left hand and high register work is truly captivating.

Now Mike is truly in heaven playing high quality energetic pop with the Kitchen.
